EVALUATION

Before a dog can be accepted into the rescue program they must have their temperaments evaluated. This is an important task and should not be taken lightly as not all dogs have good temperaments and you really need to understand behavior to do this safely. Evaluations are generally done by experienced volunteers and you would be matched with a mentor until you are comfortable and knowledgeable enough to perform this task on your own.

Are you able to evaluate a mastiff in regards to temperament, behavior, sociability, or adoptability? This is a very important task and will need a person to have knowledge of the breed and experience working with Mastiffs.
1. How long have you been acquainted with the Mastiff breed?

2. Have you done any training (obedience / conformation) with mastiffs?
yes no
3. Would you feel comfortable evaluating a mastiff with know temperament problems?
yes no

If you wish to foster, please complete Family Profile form after you complete this form and we will need to do a home visit prior to placing a dog with you.   I certify the above information is true and I understand that prior to placement of a Mastiff in my home all of the above information will be verified. I also agree to a personal interview/home visit with all family members present with a Rescue service volunteer to determine the suitability of my facilities to care for a Mastiff.   Signature_________________________________________________ Date
