Sarah and Vivian

I always wanted a BIG dog. Mastiffs have always intrigued me, and after some research and a new home, I decided it was time to get my very own! All dogs need love, so rescuing was an easy decision for me. I must admit, adopting a dog “sight unseen” was not something I was not too sure about, so I chose “foster to adopt.”

After meeting with Greg, we agreed that Vivian would be a great match for me. So, as any “expectant” mother would do, I got my house ready for Vivian’s arrival. I will never forget seeing her hop out of the truck and swagger up my front walk. And at that very moment I knew, Vivian had found her forever home.

Everyday is new and exciting with Viv. She is a sweet and gentle girl, yet has a very fun and playful side. She loves other dogs and children, and most of time thinks she’s a human being. Whoever said that mastiffs aren’t lap dogs was wrong! And everyday, she shows me a new side of her. As with every new situation, there are hurdles along the way. But, those hurdles are learning experiences that helped Viv and I get to know each other better. Vivian is 125 pounds of pure love.

I must say, rescuing Vivian has been an amazing experience! With a little bit of patience and lots of love, anything is possible. Not only did Vivian find a forever home…I found a forever friend. And who knows, she just may have a brother or sister from rescue one day soon…
